Habitat for Humanity

mission spotlight

What is the connection between WPC and Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio? Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio was founded in 1987 and has provided homeownership and home repair programs for nearly 1,000 families in central Ohio.

These programs follow a successful “hand up," not a “hand out” model where family members attend classes on financial principles and home maintenance skills. In addition, families provide sweat equity for the project involved.

WPC has combined with other area churches since at least 1993 to build at least one house a year for a Habitat family. In 2018, the churches, which up until then were divided into three communities, joined together to become the Northside Partnership. WPC is one of the leaders in the partnership, both financially and in volunteer participation.

This is the third year that WPC is sponsoring a wall build on the Green in front of our church. Please join us this Saturday, April 20 to help build the dream of home ownership for a deserving family while we enjoy the fellowship of each other.

BRIEF PRAYER:

By wisdom a house is built,
And by understanding it is established
